Final Event: One Health and Urban Transformation
The upcoming final event marks the successful completion of three years of post-graduate research into the interplay of health and urban transformation from a one health perspective. A total of 13 PhD projects are hosted at the One Health and Urban Transformation graduate school, which take transdisciplinary approaches to the research process by involving stakeholders from different fields of practice.
The final event will serve as a dialogue platform and offer the opportunity to discuss research findings. The event will take place in Bonn, Germany, due to the COVID-19 pandemic with on-site participation limited to a maximum of 70 persons, and will include online streaming to enable virtual participation.

The NRW Forschungskolleg “One Health and Urban Transformation” is jointly operated by the Center for Development Research (ZEF), the International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE) at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) and the United Nations University – Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) Bonn, in collaboration with the Department of Geography (University Bonn), the Medical Faculty (University Bonn) and the Institute for Hygiene and Public Health. Additionally, the Forschungskolleg collaborates with research and implementation oriented partners in each of the four research areas: Ruhr Valley, São Paulo, Accra and Ahmedabad.
