A rapidly growing population worldwide, changing lifestyles and consumption habits as well as a growing awareness of environmental problems underline the increasing importance of sustainable and resource-saving production methods in the agricultural and food sector. The most efficient possible use of available resources has become increasingly important in recent years. Companies must respond to the increasing demands of consumers with regard to the diversity, quality and environmental compatibility of their products. This requires technical, social and organisational innovations that must be developed and\/or implemented at company level. But how can we ensure that innovations are not only economically competitive, but also fully sustainable?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scientists and entrepreneurs will try to answer these questions on 26 September 2018 at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve. The free workshop, which is part of the German-Dutch cooperation project Food Pro\u00b7tec\u00b7ts<\/a>, will provide insights into the topics of sustainability, innovation and life cycle analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
