Cross Borders - Integrated Quality Assurance Systems
Quality Management in the meat industry depends on knowledge- and information exchange between the various stakeholders. Integrated Quality Management improves productivity and leads to better consumer care. Practical Solutions for its support within food chains are still missing. Wherever trans border trade relations exist, the challenge for integrated supply chains is even bigger. Pig industry plays a central economical role in the region along the Dutch German border; trade relations exist at all stages of the production chain. However relevant quality information is frequently missing when products cross the border; even national chains still do not have proper communication of relevant information between members of a supply chain.
